In today’s digital world, owning an online franchise offers a unique opportunity to create meaningful community impact, and Danielle Rose is a testament to this. As the owner and publisher of Wed Society Indianapolis, Danielle has built a thriving business that seamlessly blends online influence with local connection, elevating the voices of wedding professionals across her market. In this Q&A, she shares why Wed Society was the perfect fit for her and how franchise ownership has empowered her to build something meaningful in her local community.
As a mom of two daughters and a first-time business owner, I was seeking something that allowed me to be creative, work with people, and still prioritize my family. When I discovered Wed Society, I immediately connected with their mission of celebrating local wedding communities. I’ve always loved the vibrant, creative spirit of the wedding industry, and Wed Society felt like the perfect way to both support and spotlight the amazing talent here in Indianapolis. After learning more about the systems, support, and values behind the brand, I knew this was the right fit.
Being part of Wed Society has given me the structure and confidence I needed as a first-time business owner. I wasn’t just handed a brand. I was given a proven roadmap, plus the flexibility to make it my own in Indy. The tools and ongoing support from our franchise coach and team helped me hit the ground running, and the response from the local vendor community has been incredibly supportive. It’s incredible how quickly the network grows when you’re working with such passionate, collaborative people.
My day starts with school drop-off! Then it’s all about connecting with our team, local vendors, executing upcoming marketing campaigns, reviewing submissions, and handling partnership efforts. Some days, I’m also attending networking events. I love that I get to highlight the incredible wedding pros in Indianapolis. It’s such a creative, hardworking community, and no two days are ever the same. I get to wear many hats, but I also get to do work that really matters to the people around me.
If you’re passionate about building relationships and supporting local businesses, this is a fantastic opportunity. Lean into the training, trust the process, and don’t be afraid to ask questions. The support is there, and so is the community. Here in Indianapolis, the wedding industry has been so welcoming. You’re not just starting a business, you’re becoming part of something bigger.
Being personable, organized, and community-driven are key. You don’t have to have a background in weddings or media, just a passion for connecting people and telling their stories. Being able to manage priorities and multitasking all come in handy. If you care about people and love seeing others succeed, you’ll thrive in this role.
The training was incredibly thorough, and it gave me the tools I needed to feel confident starting out. What’s been even more valuable is the ongoing support from your franchise coach, strategy calls, creative resources, and the headquarters team is always there to guide and encourage. As a first-time business owner, that support has helped me stay focused, grow steadily, and feel like part of a bigger mission.
One of the most rewarding parts of this journey has been seeing the Indianapolis wedding community come together. I’ve had vendors reach out to say they gained visibility, booked new clients, or felt reenergized through our features and collaborations. It’s amazing to see how much talent exists here and even more amazing to be a connector in that space. I’m so proud to help shine a light on the people and businesses who make weddings in Indy so special.
